I feel seen with your three categories 🙈. As I have grown into my career in fashion, I have learned to live and consume fashion at the pace that suits me best. Of course, my work needs me to stay up-to-date, so I am very selective as to where I look for information and the type of information I am looking for. I don't feel like I am missing out anything not going at shows .

Phil Oh is a very interesting streetstyle photographer whose images bring joy to the viewers. Something that is rare in the genre he does. Seeing his pictures always makes me wonder the interaction he has with the people he photographs. There is a spontaneity in his shots that I don't see in other streetstyle photographers, and it is definitely his signature.

Thanks for your comment Emmanuelle! Yes, he is truly special, and I love that his point of view is in such a prominent space. And as for the categories, that's why I wrote them, I think the experience of working in fashion has some universal themes that we all share. 🤍

You're welcome. He's probably the only streetstyle photographer I still find interesting. I used to enjoy The Sartorialist, but maybe because I know Italy, I do find his images quite cliché.

There's definitely a universal feel to these categories, we all went through as we evolved in the industry.

Yes! The Sartorialist used to be amazing, but the fashion ecosystem has canged so much, that it has grown a little old fashioned. Still, I own his first book and love how intuitive he was. But it's true, Phil Oh's work is more relevant for these times.
