Since these next weeks I am on holiday form, I’ve freed some of my paywalled posts, so that my newest subscribers can read them and some of the older ones can read them now if they didn’t have the chance then.
First, Shape. This was something I had been thinking for quite a while, how society shapes us so that we can live within it, but also how that process doesn’t only affect the way we behave, our minds and bodies end up greatly transformed too. I talk also about an artist that represents a more faithful picture of the perception Gen Z have over their bodies and whose work I find deeply liberating and refreshing. Hope you enjoy it!
Next up, Eye. The world around us is mostly made up of what we see, the stuff that catches our eye conforms the experience we have of reality. Some people see darkness, some others joy. I look at the craziness of fashion week and how my perspective of it has changed over the years, and share with you the work of a fantastic street photographer whose eye is pure fun and freedom.
Happy weekend, misfits!
Love,
Patty
